If Jerome's finishing was top draw 15 to 20 goals a season, would he have played at Blues for the last 4 seasons? why didnt he make the team for the carling Cup final? the answer is he is our bench striker, but circumstances this season elevated jerome to our 1st choice striker. I wouldnt want Jerome playing for us in the Championship either, simple, his finishing, he has had so many one on ones this season and he put away 10% of them, yes we played hoof ball lone striker, but he still got his chances in most games. No thanks CJ I would rather have a go at promotion with a couple of proven lower league strikers/ Asante-Zigic & Mc Fadden (if they stay) for a bit of experience, We can attract some good players next season because we are a likely candicate for promtion coupled with a glimmer of hope of reaching the Europa League group stages.

.... messi would not have scored many the way we created chances this season ? :kro:
I'd gamble that he'd have score more than 3 in 33 games.

How about creating your own chances. Most strikers can do that. Apart from running on to long hopeful balls (which he does well with his pace) I dont recall him making a chance for himself. He gets fewer chances partly because his running off the ball and positioning are not great (yes and also because we are so negative).

He often does but he's so tired afterwards after all his leg work he cannot shoot. Have you not seen him and his masterful stepovers ;)

"I would like to apologise to every single birmingham city fan on here, you have all been brilliant all season and i cant believe we've gone down".
Well at least one player has apologised and thanked the fans. After stalking his profile for a while, it seems he is the only player who actually cares for the fans and the team itself (Not many other players have even mentioned anything about relegation).
Dont get me wrong, im not a fan of him, but he is a professional footballer for a reason. He is a pro footballer because when played in the right position with the right tactics he can bang them in left right and centre. It is clear that 451 is not his strong point, and being pretty much our only striker for the past couple of seasons it is down to McCleish to play Jerome to his strong points.
Stop knocking Jerome and bad mouthing him because if he leaves, you gonna rely on the big man to get us back in the prem? because i doubt he will even be here by August.
You guys are blues fans, so get behind the blues squad. I dont like half the players on the team as i think they lack commitment to the club itself but when they have a blues shirt on i get fully behind them and support them all the way. These Jerome haters should do the same.
Adam.

You do realise that twitter account is fake?
Andy Walker (PR and Social Media Manager at Blues) on his twitter has confirmed that it is a hoaxer and I remember him saying that Jeromes real twitter is CamJerome10, who hasnt said anything on his account about relegation.
Here is his tweet - "Cant believe that hoaxer @cameronjerome10 is still attempting to con #BCFC fans. Do these fakers ever get bored? Issued plenty of warnings."

I have always had respect for him, he actually does care about the club/fans but he's just the quiet type who doesn't like to show his emotion and seems like an easy target - this quote should be pinned!

Trouble is, I just know that if Jerome went to somewhere like Blackburn or Stoke, he would be putting in 10-12 goals a season, its just sods law.
That is still poor for a main striker.
Spurs: Pavlyuchenko 9, Crouch 4, Defoe 4 Everton: Beckford 8, Saha 7 Arsenal: van Persie 18, Chamakh 7 Vile: Agbonlahor 3, Darren Bent 17 (for Sunderland and vile) Blackburn: Roberts 5, Kalinic 5 Blackpool: DJ 13, Taylor-Fletcher 6 Bolton: Elmander 10, Sturridge 8, Davies 8 Chelsea: Malouda 13 (an attacking midfielder), Drogba 11, Kalou 10, Anelka 6 Fulham: AJ 3, Zamora 5, Dempsey 12 (not a main striker) Liverpool: Torres 9 (10 between Liverpool and Chelsea), Kuyt 13 Citeh: Tevez 20, Balotelli 6 ManU: Berbatov 20, Hernandez 13, Rooney 11 Newcastle: Carroll 11 (13 between toon and Liverpool), Ameobi 6, Best 6, Lovenkrands 6 Stoke: Kenwyne 9, Fuller 4, Walter 6 Sunderland: Gyan 10, Welbeck 6 west brom: Odemwingie 15 west ham: Demba Ba 7, Piquionne 6, Cole 5 wigan: Rodallega 9 wolves: Fletcher 10, Ebanks-Blake 7, Doyle 5 Blues: Ziga 5, Cam 3, Phillips 1, Derbyshire 0 That's 9 centre forwards that scored more than 12 goals this season in the league. Many would interpret your statement as saying the remainder have been poor. I would disagree.
Some years ago it used to be reckoned that to be considered good, you had to be a "20 goal a season" striker. I think that these figures show that in modern football this phrase should be changed to a "10 goal a season" striker.
When you consider the likes of Crouch have never scored more than 12 premier league goals, Defoe scored 18 once and his next best has been 13, Robbie Keane has never scored more than 16, Saha never more than 13, Yakubu scored 16 once, etc. and how much those players have cost clubs in terms of transfer fees paid you're comment makes a lot of sense.
Other than Darren Bent, players that score 20+ in a league season are going to be playing for the best clubs in the world.
